چکیده

Abstract This article aims to improve the low-temperature H 2 -deNO x performance of active Pt/ZrO catalyst using MoO as a promoter. For this purpose, systematic series samples were prepared with Pt content 0.25 wt% and Mo loads from 0 10 wt%. The physico-chemically characterized by means powder X-ray diffraction, N physisorption, temperature-programmed desorption CO NH 3 , Raman spectroscopy diffuse reflectance infrared probe molecule, while efficiency was investigated in lean synthetic exhaust. load showed best performance, including between 80 °C 150 °C, maximum NO conversion 90% selectivity up 78%. Isolated species predominately present at below 4 found act structural promoter stabilizing BET surface area, also providing smaller particles more sites, respectively. By contrast, aggregated oxide moieties higher exhibit clearly weaker promotional effect. structure–activity-selectivity correlations suggest that additionally enables SCR-related mechanistic pathway be followed, spill-over sites strong Lewis acid case highly dispersed entities followed reaction .

Reduction of NOx by H2 over Pt-K/Al2O3 Lean NOx Trap catalysts

Introduction Lean NOx Trap (LNT) catalysts are viable catalysts for the abatement of NOx emissions from lean–burn engines [1]. These systems work under periodic cyclic conditions, alternating lean (NOx storage) and rich conditions during which the stored NOx are reduced by a reductant. Although PtBa/Al2O3 is a typical model catalyst for this application, systems containing K have also been prop...

Lean NOx reduction over Ag/Al2O3 catalysts using future fuels

The focus of this work is to increase the understanding of the lean NOx reduction over silver-alumina catalysts using hydrocarbons as the reductant (HC-SCR). In particular, the effect of silver loading, the role of platinum doping, the effect of the reducing agent as well as the effects of aging and hydrothermal treatment on the catalytic activity, in particular at low temperatures, and selecti...

CFD Modeling Study of High Temperature and Low Oxygen Content Exhaust Gases Combustion Furnaces

This paper reports a CFD modeling study on the possibility of using high temperature and low oxygen content exhaust gases as oxidant for combustion in an industrial furnace by a written computer program. Under these conditions, the predicted results for the flow and heat transfer properties are compared with those under the several cases of conventional and highly preheated...

Modeling and Simulation of NOx Abatement with Storage/Reduction Catalysts for Lean Burn and Diesel Engines

The removal of nitrogen oxides emitted by diesel and lean burn engines is one of the most important targets in catalytic exhaust aftertreatment research. Besides the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reaction with ammonia the most promising approach is the NOx Storage and Reduction Catalyst (NSR) which utilizes the nitrogen oxides storage on barium sites to form nitrates during the lean phase...
